Search by Image is a browser extension for Firefox that makes effortless reverse image searches possible, and comes with support for more than 30 search engines.

The extension helps journalists and researchers verify the authenticity of images, and assists in the identification of false information on social media. Search by Image is also popular among photographers, helping artists explore how their work is shared on the web, while shoppers find it valuable for discovering similar products at discounted prices.
The extension enables you to search for images from the context menu and the browser toolbar with the help of a diverse set of reverse image search engines, which can be toggled and reordered from the extension’s options. Visit the wiki for the full list of supported search engines.
Images positioned at the selected area are detected regardless of how they were embedded in the page. The extension also supports searching with images from your device, images from private sites, and captured areas of the page.
A handful of search modes are offered that serve different use cases. The search mode can be set independently for the context menu and the browser toolbar from the extension’s options.
- Select URL: select an image on the page and search with the image URL. This is the default search mode.
- Select image: select an image on the page and search with the image file. This search mode is preferred for sites which do not allow the direct linking of images, such as private sites.
- Capture: search with a captured area of the page.
- Browse: search with an image from your device. Pasting images from the clipboard is also supported on desktop platforms.
- URL: search with an image URL.
The extension is also available for Chrome and Safari.

Please note however that “User-Agent Switcher” is mostly in maintenance-only mode now and new features will not be added by me (the primary author, Alexander Schlarb) anymore. I’m still open for patches from the community however and would also welcome your support through the linked BountySource buttons under each Feature Request issue in the tracker.
- Use a web service (such as UserAgentString.com) to see your currently sent User-Agent header.
- Use the built-in Network Analyzer (Ctrl-Shift-Q) to view the User-Agent header.
- Enter navigator.userAgent into the Scripting Console (Ctrl-Shift-K) to view the client-side User-Agent value.

In order to provide almost perfect emulation of User-Agent values, User Agent-Switcher bundles a stripped-down version of BrowsCap. This allows us to derive all relevant JavaScript navigator.* browser/OS identification values from just a single value: The User-Agent value you enter (and a bit of magic behind the scenes). Other extensions with a similarly complete level of emulation used to store all these values in huge tables along with the User-Agent value itself, making it very hard to add new entries.
Doing this kind of emulation without using BrowsCap would be extremely hard for us, as there are only few rules regarding the structure of User-Agent strings and the most interesting part end up in the extremely browser-specific comment section of the string. As such, we consider these extra 3MiB+ of data shipped with the extension a fair price to pay for having almost perfect out-of-the-box emulation of all these values with no extra user configuration required.
Unfortunately Mozilla decided to limit support for extensions on their new Fenix browser platform to just a limited set of recommended extensions. What is this Firefox hidden add-on: «Add-ons Search Detection ( [email protected] )»?
In Firefox 95.0.1 task manager, I see the following item: 
«Add-ons Search Detection ([email protected])» with full permissions to all browsing and private tabs. What is this plugin? What does it do and should it be removed? Note that it doesn’t show up in the Extensions list. Only way to see it is from Task Manager. NOTE that I disabled it — it was enabled. When disabled, it disappears from Task Manager.

After browsing the Github repository for it briefly I believe the add-on attempts to detect and report any other add-ons that try to hijack the browsers search engines and redirect those requests to another site.
From the data.md file in the repository:
This add-on will collect information about search engines.
addonsSearchDetection etld_change: indicates a eTLD change webrequest or other: the "API" used to change the eTLD. Note that other is used when the change has not been initiated from the client. extension or server: whether the eTLD change has been done by an extension (add-on) or server. addonId: the add-on ID tied to this change addonVersion: the version of the add-on from: the eTLD of the search endpoint hostname defined by the Search service to: the eTLD of the final endpoint hostname
